History
Studios at the Canal
Although my studios offer a truly unique place to stay in Amsterdam, you’re certainly not the first to enjoy them. The house dates back to the early 18th century, and for over 300 years, countless memories have been made here. It’s now a designated monument, meaning that while it has recently been renovated to meet modern standards, all the authentic details, both inside and out, have been carefully preserved. You can truly feel the history in every corner.
From the Canal View Room, you’ll look out onto the Rosa Overbeekbrug, a charming historic bridge connecting the Eerste Bloemdwarsstraat and the Tweede Leliedwarsstraat. It’s definitely worth a closer look! Most of the time, the neighbour across the street decorates it with beautiful flowers – a lovely tribute to the Bloemgracht (“bloem” means flower in Dutch).
About Your Stay
Whether you are planning a solo retreat, work trip with colleagues, mother-daughter weekend, or a romantic couple’s getaway, the studios can be easily adopted to your preferences.

Your LOCAL Host
Tessa
Hi, I’m Tessa. I’ve been living in Amsterdam for over 15 years now, and a while ago I decided to share the joy of this beautiful city by opening up my home as a B&B for anyone who wants to experience it like a local.
I’m an energetic person who loves new and exciting projects. My days usually start with an early kickboxing or running session, followed by a peaceful stroll home along the canals with a coffee from my favourite local spot. On weekends, you’ll find me catching up with friends over a nice outdoor lunch or cycling to the Noordermarkt on Saturdays. They serve the best apple pie in town there! Every now and then I love to add a cultural touch to the week, with the Rijksmuseum being one of my favourite places to unwind.
The best part? All of this is right at your fingertips from the location of my home. I’d love to welcome you to my beautiful place on the Bloemgracht, my favourite canal in Amsterdam of course 😉, and I have tons of personal recommendations for things to see, do, and enjoy in every way imaginable!
